Sub-production
Until now, Tracelink has only allowed production to be documented and invoices to be issued once the entire production was complete. This created a challenge when handling a large order where you wanted to document one half of the production now and the other half at a later stage. That is why we are now introducing “sub-production” in Tracelink.
How it works
With sub-production, you can produce a partial quantity of the requested production and issue an invoice for each sub-production.
You can create multiple sub-productions on the same production order. Each time, a new batch (or portion) is produced, and the cost price is recalculated. This means that sub-productions on the same production order will always have the same cost price. If you want the productions to have different cost prices, you must create two separate production orders.
Once you start a sub-production, you must also complete the production as a sub-production. If you end up producing less than expected, the production line (Yes line) must be changed to 0. If you produce more than expected, the production line must be adjusted to the new quantity.
