Over the past few years, MK Production has expanded its business to the point where its existing workflows could no longer keep up. The manual routines and stacks of paperwork that had once worked well were beginning to slow the company down. The transition to Tracelink's digital planning solution has transformed day-to-day operations. Today, everything is managed in one place—digitally, transparently, and with full visibility for both employees and management.

From paperwork to digital visibility

For many small and medium-sized manufacturing companies, tight deadlines and constantly changing orders are part of everyday business. For MK Production For MK Production, it became clear that a modern, digital overview was essential to keep pace with the company's growth. Tracelink proved to be the solution that could replace both paperwork and manual coordination—without the need for a large-scale ERP implementation or additional staff.

The paperwork just kept piling up,” says Morten Kristensen, owner of MK Production. “Now our entire flow of information is digital. Orders, drawings, documents, and delivery notes are all gathered in one place.”

A more predictable workday

With Tracelink, all production processes are connected through one integrated production plan. Tasks are automatically scheduled in the correct sequence, giving both employees and management a clear overview of what's coming over the next few hours as well as the weeks ahead.

It creates a real sense of calm,” says Morten. “Everyone can see what's ready, what's in progress, and what's approaching delivery.”

Integrated planning for capacity, materials, and machines

Kasper Heiselberg, Product Manager at Tracelink, explains that many companies are looking for a single solution that brings together machine capacity, raw materials, and workforce planning: “When you don't have a dedicated production planner, you need a system that provides a complete overview. Machine capacity, materials, and staffing all affect one another, and your production planning needs to take every one of those factors into account.

At MK Production, the office assigns jobs to the appropriate machines, while the system automatically manages potential issues such as overlapping schedules and material shortages. At the same time, Tracelink provides a real-time overview of inventory, showing which materials are available both now and for upcoming orders. This makes it possible to identify potential issues before they arise and to keep customers informed if production schedules need to be adjusted

Documentation that follows every order

One of the biggest benefits for MK Production is having all documentation gathered in one place. Everything from certificates and photos to time registrations and setup data is automatically linked to each order and can be retrieved in seconds.

We have access to the full production history,” says Morten. “When a customer reorders, we can pull up all the relevant information in seconds and get to work immediately. It saves us a great deal of time.”
