Climate accounting
Sustainability and climate accounting are two discussed topics in today's Denmark, and within the coming years we can probably look forward to a series of tighter rules regarding calculation of climate footprint. That is why we have developed a climate module where entered data can be used to calculate and tax a production's CO2 footprint.
The calculation is divided into 3 scopes: 1) Direct emission - e.g. combustion of petrol for company cars or diesel generators, 2) indirect emissions from electricity etc. - e.g. power consumption of machines, heating of buildings and electric-powered cars, and 3) other indirect emissions - e.g. raw materials. In combination with estimates for raw materials' CO2-equivalent - per kg, litres, metres, cubic metres, etc. - and figures from the Danish Business Authority's table for CO2 emissions, it is possible to calculate a footprint.
