What is Batch Management?
Batch Management helps you keep track of the expiry date of your batches in the warehouse, so you know what needs to be sold first, thus avoiding unnecessary waste.
Do you trade with e.g. foodstuffs, the authorities require that there is tracking of the raw materials with an expiry date and documentation of the manufacturing process, so that it is easy to find finished products sold in the event of recalls or complaints.
When you use Inventroy Management with batch in Tracelink, you get access to a number of functions that, among other things, helps you create BOMs, pick goods and monitor inventory.
BOMs
When a finished product is ordered, a bill of materials can be used to create a "recipe" with raw materials that must be picked from the warehouse depending on the size of the order.
Traceability
On the order, you get an overview of the resources, employees and machines involved in production. Finally, a batch is formed on the finished product, which is manufactured with a cost price based on the time spent on production incl. the raw materials used.
Inventory Management
Get an overview of raw materials/finished goods in the system and monitor inventory and stock value, so that everyone in the company can see what is in stock and when it is time to reorder goods, so that the stock does not run out.
Storage Location
Add warehouse location to the batches so that you always have an overview of where your goods are in the warehouse. It will reduce wasted time if you have a large warehouse, where it can usually be difficult to find the goods.
Quality Assurance
Save documents, certificates or pictures on the batch so that the quality of your raw material or finished product is documented - e.g. if you need a picture of how your commodity looked when you received it.
Dashboard
Share the overview with the employees by setting up Tracelink's dashboard on a large screen in the production hall.
